When your husband and you try to "out" Disney everyone else, you accept even the craziest challenge no matter how harebrained it may be. A lot of people have taken on the 4-park challenge (and we did too!), but you don't hear a lot about the ALL RIDES challenge. Maybe its because my crazy husband invented in while we were standing in line for Starbucks on Main Street.
His idea: What if we rode ALL the RIDES in Magic Kingdom today, including the shows such as Enchanted Tiki Room and Carousel of Progress.
My response: Why Not!
So off we went! First up, Adventureland because those lines can get long! We got (1)Jungle Cruise and (2)Pirates of the Caribbean done fast! And then onto (3)Thunder Mountain.
The next rides to get some long times (4) Haunted Mansion, (5)Goofy's Barnstormer and (6) Dumbo. At point we are feeling pretty good and decide to knock out some smaller Fantasyland Rides: (7) Ariel's Under the Sea, (8) Winnie the Pooh and (9) Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. Thankfully we started to have some fast passes come in handy and took care of (10) Seven Drawfs Mine Train!
At this point, we had about 10 attractions to go and energy was running low! Time for an Advocare Spark! Almost instantly we were pumped and ready to finish this thing out! Unfortunately for us, the attractions we had left to go were pretty scattered through the Magic Kingdom...so off we went! (16)Peter Pan - yes, thank you fast pass! Also, in case you've been counting, we have used all 3 fast passes...thanks to the My Disney Experience App, we were able to make another one for Aladdin's Carpet Ride in an hour! (17) Philharmagic and (18) The Train! Cant forget the Train! (19) Small World and (20) Aladdin. That took care of Fantasyland and almost all of Adventureland. Time to eat...Skipper Canteen!
After the early dinner I couldn't tell if we were rejuvenated or just crazy. Pretty sure our server thought the later...time to do this thing! (21) Tomorrowland Speedway, (22) Liberty Belle, (23) Enchanted Tiki Room, and finally onto (24) Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. At this point we are practically running over small children as time is running low and we're not done yet!
WE ARE SOOOOO CLOSE! (25)Astro orbitor! We arrive in line for what looks like a 30 minute wait and think, oh we are golden. Ride this and then watch the fireworks and then use one last fastpass on Splash Mountain at 9:30pm (the park closes at 10, so we were cutting it close). Its at this point out of the corner of my eye, I see a Country Bear Jamboree Mug. NOOOOOO!!! We had forgotten Country Bear Jamboree and its last show was going to be at 8pm! Current time 7:38 and we're still in line for Astro orbitor. For a moment total depression set in. We had walked/run nearly 10 miles and were going to come up short because we forgot COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE!
By some miracle the Cast Member needed two people and so we were able to jump to the front of the line and get on in record time. Once we landed, we knew it was now or nothing and we booked our tired, weak butts all the way to Frontierland to watch the Country Bear Jamboree. We made it with just minutes to spare!
Once that was done there was nothing to do, but relax, watch the new fireworks show Happily Ever After and then be ready to head to Splash Mountain once it was over.
Once the fireworks concluded, we pushed our way through the exiting crowds to Splash Mountain, used our final fastpass of the day, although it was not actually needed as the crowds were pretty low. And that was it. We had actually accomplished this crazy, exhausting challenge! 13 hours and 12 miles of walking later, we had done it. Please don't ever make me do that again!
