Anyone else crave a good breakfast on vacation? Sometimes when I'm at Disney World, I want something fast and easy on my wait to rope drop, but other days I desperately want a leisurely, delicious breakfast that will fill me up for most of the day. This post is about those days when a granola bar will not do, and I want eggs, bacon, the whole shebang. Well then comes the inevitable question of where...So here are my favorite spots for grabbing the perfect big breakfast at Disney World:
Table Service: Narcoossee's
If your family is not feeling a character meal, or perhaps its just an adult's only trip (you really should take one of these in your lifetime!), then I highly recommend the Sunday Narcoossee's. First of, its location at the Grand Floridian means it has a breathtaking panoramic view of the Seven Seas Lagoon. Especially at breakfast, with the sun coming up over the water, its just peaceful and beautiful.
Second, the food is really good. There is a fixed menu that begins with a cocktail choice of Prosecco, Mimosa, or Bloody Mary then follows that up with a wonderful pastry bowl for the table to share. The appetizers could be entrees themselves! The Shrimp and Grits was a big hit at our table. Our top favorite entree's are the Brioche French Toast and the Eggs Benedict. At this point you will be remarkably full! And then the desserts arrive.
Character Meals: Cinderella's Royal Table
First, the location of being inside Cinderella's Castle is magical. From the rich tapestries hung from the ceiling to the beautiful place settings on the table to the spectacular view of Fantasyland, nothing beats the atmosphere of The Royal Table.
But what really sings is the food. Despite being a busy character restaurant, the food is really quite good. Like other Table Service Breakfasts you start with a great pastry plate, but the entree's are amazing. My favorite is the Caramel Apple-Stuffed French Toast. My husband was part to the Shrimp and Grits, but he ate them before I could get a picture...
Quick Service: Sleepy Hollow
Lastly, not all delicious, filling breakfasts require reservations! If you are hungry for a great breakfast (or 3pm snack for me usually) head to Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom. It is located right at the entrance of Liberty Square with two windows that you walk to for ordering and picking up. The lines can get long, but they are very manageable. So what do you get there? The Nutella and Strawberry Waffle, of course!
