A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to experience a truly remarkable dining experience. To say that this was unparalleled would be an understatement. Many people know that nestled in the Grand Floridian Resort lies Victoria and Albert's. V&A's is one of the finest restaurants in the entire Southeast United States and the ultimate fine dining at Walt Disney World. With a menu that spans the globe to find the most exquisite products - truffles, caviar, oysters (the list is endless) V&A's has received the presitgious Five Diamond Award among its many accolades.
The restaurant itself has three distinct eating experiences. There is the dining room which seats only about 20 - 30 guests and only allows for one seating each evening, guests can choose between the 7-course menu or the 10-course Chef's Tasting Menu. Located in a smaller, more intimate space is the Queen Victoria's Room which only seats 8 guest per evening for the 10-course dinner featuring private wait service and wine pairings. The ultimate dining experience, however, lies beyond the opulent main rooms, and instead is in the kitchen, the Chef's Table.
Now, onto the food! To give you a detailed review of every bite I ate, would (1) take WAY too long and (2) require a knowledge of flavors and ingredients I do not have. So instead, here was our menu with photos (of course...).
Chef's 10 Course Tasting Menu
Overall, there is no foreseeable dining experience in my life that can top Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's. I'm already hinting at going back! If you can nab these reservations (180 days in advance!), then go for it! You won't regret it or forget it any time soon.
