With the news of Dwayne Johnson starring in a live action movie themed by the Jungle Cruise in the Magic Kingdom and on its 62nd birthday, it seemed appropriate to think about this historic ride. Many by pass it as outdated and cheesy. Other consider it a tradition that cannot be ignored. What do you think?
On the Jungle Cruise you board a boat headed to the rivers of Africa, Asia and South America. The original Jungle Cruise opening in Disneyland's Adventureland on July 17th, 1955, and is one of the few rides that was not themed after a Disney film. Walt Disney's vision was to have real animals populate the river, however, he was forced to alter his plans after many consultations with animal behavior experts. Animals do have wills have their own after all!
