I arrived approximately 30 minutes head of my scheduled massage, as recommended. Once there you are quickly whisked away to the locker rooms. The lockers are dark wood tones stocked with fluffy, soft robes, towels and slippers. I knew from previous experience that included in your service was the whirlpool and sauna. (Bring your swimsuit)! So I quickly changed, locked my valuables, and headed to the whirlpool.
The whirlpool and sauna room is possibly my favorite in the spa. The walls are covered in the most beautiful blue/green tile mosaics. See if you can spot the hidden Mickey! The pool and saunce easily accommodate between 5- 6 people, but there was never more than one other person there at a time. Provided in there room was cold water and iced towels which were perfect after soaking!
After drying off, I headed to the "waiting room" to be retrieved by my masseuse. The waiting room, while not as pretty, is very soothing and relaxing. The dark lighting and comfortable chairs are so enticing. You can enjoy a tea or small snack from the beverage station and relax until your service.
Once your service technician finds you in the waiting room, you are escorted to rooms that are dim, quiet and very peaceful. While the service rooms themselves offer nothing extraordinary, the lines and every detail used is extremely high quality.
Upon completion of your massage or facial or whatever heaven you have chosen, you are escorted back to the waiting room with complimentary champagne. You are welcome to relax as long you'd like...and I think I may drifted to sleep in the chairs...
While a visit to Senses is a luxury at Walt Disney World where everything seems to cost most than you think it will, it is truly a luxury worth its price tag. If you find yourself with some alone time or just in true need of relaxation, book a service during your next trip. You will not regret it.
